Summary
Someone who occasionally comes for Bert for an hour is very valuableDetailed description
Who is Bert?
Bert is a 76-year-old man with a severe intellectual disability. He lives in a residential group at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo, where he receives 24-hour care. Bert cannot talk, but he does indicate what he likes and doesn't like. He is in a wheelchair and cannot walk. Bert likes fun and commotion around him. He takes few initiatives himself, but he is a real fun-loving person and often looks satisfied. He is clearly a bit older and requires an adjusted pace. He enjoys coffee with a slice of cake, taking a nice walk outside, riding our wheelchair bike or going to church services at our residential care park. As long as it's fun!
Bert can really enjoy little moments. He takes your hand and makes eye contact with you. He is easily satisfied.
What does Bert ask?
We are looking for a buddy for Bert. Someone who can set aside an hour especially for him to take a walk, go on a wheelchair bike, go to our Brasserie, the Intratuin or go to the church service. Bert has daytime activities in the morning, so the afternoon would be best. This can be done during the week or at the weekend. Everything is welcome in consultation. Someone who doesn't mind that Bert doesn't talk, but enjoys it when he enjoys it in silence. The frequency, day and time are in consultation. Do you have an hour to spare?
