Will you bring us fun and excitement?

52 elderly residents with an intellectual disability live in the Sainte Marie residential care center in Apeldoorn. They all have their own studio with bathroom, toilet and kitchenette. Elderly people who receive care from KleinGeluk also live in the building. Pluryn and KleinGeluk have their own floors, but together use spaces such as the restaurant, the chapel, the beautiful courtyard and offices. The emphasis in guidance is on achieving small goals, providing structure, closeness and support.

For department 3 of Sainte Marie, we want 1 or more enthusiastic, activating group volunteers.

Both older men and women with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities live in this department. Some also have some physical limitations.

What are you going to do?

• Games,
• To walk,
• Coffee and chat!

What are you bringing?

• Yourself! You are the sunshine in the house,
• You are sociable, calm and always up for a chat, a cup of coffee/tea and a game,
• You enjoy coming into contact with different people and doing activities with them,
• You have experience or affinity with our target group,
• In short, you enjoy expanding the social contacts of our residents and ensuring that our residents feel seen!

Our volunteers do not incur any costs, we are very happy with your (long-term) commitment!

Naturally, you have an excellent command of the Dutch language.

What do we expect?

• You enjoy being there for others
• Fixed appointments, regardless of frequency, everything is fine as long as you are there!
• So you decide whether you come and have fun with us once a month or perhaps 3 times a week!
• You want to commit yourself to this group for a longer period of time and are willing to build a bond.
