The Vechtstreekmuseum is committed to ensuring that the tasks and the passion & qualities of volunteers are well matched. We regularly meet in meetings and every year we organize a very nice day for all volunteers. There is a caring and warm atmosphere among them.

The work consists of carrying out (sometimes technical) repairs, setting up equipment, but above all making sure that everything runs smoothly, the lighting is perfect everywhere, small painting jobs, carpentry jobs, etc.
About the museum
The Vechtstreek Museum is located in park Goudestein on the Vecht in Maarssen. It is located in the former Silverstein country estate, which after the renovation served as Goudestein's coach house.
The museum focuses on the culture, history and art of the entire Vecht region. The permanent collection in particular pays a lot of attention to the historic buildings and tea domes, with a special room for the Huydecoper family, who built the original country estate.
Every year there are special exhibitions and guided tours are provided both inside and outside the museum. There are also various films that give a good picture of various highlights and sights in the Vecht region.
