Coordinator Dutch Language Café

Would you like to help non-native speakers learn Dutch together with a team of volunteers? We are looking for a coordinator for the Dutch Language Café at Thuis.

What is the Dutch Language Café?

The best way to master a language is to practice a lot. And that is much more fun and easier together with others. At the Dutch Language Café, participants practice speaking Dutch. The language café is every Wednesday from 19:30 to 21:00 in the Stadskamer at Thuis Wageningen. Everyone who wants to learn to speak Dutch better is welcome to join.

What are you going to do?

• Together with an enthusiastic team of 15 language volunteers, you ensure that the language café runs smoothly.
• You make the planning and keep an overview.
• If necessary, you will look for new language volunteers.
• You manage the budget for materials.
• You keep in touch with Thuis employees about space usage, promotion and other matters.
• If you want, you can also participate as a language volunteer on Wednesday evenings.

Who are we looking for?

• A team player who enjoys working with other volunteers.
• Someone with a talent for planning and organizing.
• You are friendly, patient and culturally sensitive.
• We appreciate it if you have experience with language coaching, and recruiting and retaining volunteers. But we know from experience: that can also be learned by doing.
