Do you want to contribute behind the scenes to a magical event in Apeldoorn? The Royal Light Festival 2025 is looking for strong and enthusiastic volunteers to help with the daily construction and dismantling of an impressive work of art near Paleis Het Loo. This unique event will take place from (construction Tuesday 11 March) Wednesday 12 March to Sunday 16 March 2025.
When?
- Tuesday March 11 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Wednesday March 12: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Thursday March 13: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Friday March 14: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM - 12:00 AM
- Saturday March 15: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM - 12:00 AM
- Sunday March 16: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM - 11:30 PM
What are you going to do? As a volunteer for the construction and dismantling of the artwork, you have an important role. Your tasks include:
- Help set up the artwork prior to the evening.
- Assist with dismantling and cleaning up at the end of the evening.
- Ensure safe and efficient execution of construction and dismantling activities.
Who are we looking for? We are looking for volunteers who:
- Preferably living in Apeldoorn or the surrounding area (due to times and short shifts).
- Be available on at least 3 days during the festival.
- Be able to walk well and have no problems with physical work such as lifting and carrying.
- Enjoy working in a team.
- Have some technical affinity (not mandatory, but a plus!).
- Ideal for a group of friends.
Please note: This is an outdoor event in March. Expect cold and changing weather conditions. Make sure to wear warm clothing, sturdy shoes and be prepared to work in the fresh air.
