Are you ready to lend a helping hand?
What are you going to do?
In the event of a disaster or crisis situation in your region, you will be called upon as an emergency responder from our Population Care team to care for those affected, for example in the event of an evacuation of a healthcare institution. Led by a team leader, the team is ready to receive people in a shelter location. You are the first point of contact for those involved at that time, you offer practical help and a listening ear. In addition, providing food, sanitary facilities and/or a place to sleep may also be part of your duties. Watch this video to get an impression of what Population Care does.
What do you get?

What do we ask?
- You are in good physical and mental condition;
- You have your own transport to get to the location in your region in case of a call;
- You have social and communication skills and you know how to tackle things;
- A first aid certificate or the willingness to obtain one;
- You endorse the 7 basic principles of the Red Cross.
