When the need is high, you know how to keep calm
Are you looking for a volunteer position with a lot of responsibility ? Are you willing to drop everything and take action immediately when your help is requested? Are you stress-resistant, a real team player and can you improvise well? Then become a member of the Emergency Aid Team!
As a member of the Emergency Response Team, you are ready to provide assistance to victims in acute emergency situations together with the ambulance staff and other medical professionals. Together with your Emergency Response Team members, you ensure that the care location is set up, you register slightly injured victims and you perform first aid actions. You also offer victims support and a listening ear. Thanks to your efforts, the ambulance staff has their hands free for the seriously injured patients. In this way, everyone involved quickly receives the right help.
To become a member of the Emergency Response Team, at least one year of experience as a first responder with the Red Cross is required. You are always a first responder at a location in addition to your Emergency Response Team membership. If this experience is lacking, you start at the basics as a Basic First Responder.
