Would you like to be there for a refugee who becomes unwell in a reception center? Will you help an athlete cross the finish line during a running event? Can you reassure someone if they have sunstroke at a festival?
Through training and regular deployment at events, volunteer event responders at the Red Cross keep their knowledge up to date and expand it. Volunteers and professionals are therefore also ready as an emergency aid organization that can be deployed by the government in times of need.
Become a first responder with the Red Cross! You will then provide first aid together with other volunteers at various locations, such as events or reception centers for refugees. Naturally, you will first be offered first aid training.
Who are you?
You speak Dutch well and are 18 years or older
You have a valid Advanced Red Cross First Aid certificate or are willing to obtain one. You are willing to take additional training. You make yourself available a few days a year
You are stress-resistant and have resilience
You take immediate action when something happens and you take responsibility
You listen well and respond to victims' needs
You get:
Meaningful and responsible volunteer work
The opportunity to let people enjoy an event without any worries
