General board member of the North Holland region

We are looking for a director who lives in North Holland to have a feeling and input for this specific area in our region from this administrative position.

Tasks and responsibilities

· As General Manager you are part of the regional board. The regional board is a collegial board in which all functions are equal.

· A professional team works within the region under the leadership of the regional manager and approximately 775 volunteers are active.

· The regional board is responsible for the quality, safety and continuity of the activities of the region and monitors their operational implementation.

· The regional board operates on the basis of the work plan it has established, which has been approved by or on behalf of the Executive Board and which is based on the Red Cross multi-year plan approved by the Members' Council.

· The regional board is an important sparring partner for the regional manager. Approximately 7 times a year there is a board meeting in which the regional manager is present.

· The board determines the annual budget and monitors the annual plan and the progress of the plans.

· The regional board is also the liaison for the delegates for the members' council. At least twice a year there is contact with the members' council members from the region in preparation for the official members' council meetings.
