Passion for trains and museums (looking for a buddy)

It concerns a 58-year-old man, who lives in Apeldoorn, at Sainte Marie. Here live elderly clients with multiple disabilities. The residents enjoy nostalgic experiences such as listening to music, talking about the past and/or going on outings. Our resident sometimes wants things that are not feasible (think of getting a driver's license or living on his own) but mainly enjoys visits and conviviality. Someone who comes especially for him, shares his interests and with whom he clicks.

What are you allowed to do?

• Coffee & chat,
• walking,
• Visiting museums.

What are you bringing?

• You are a patient and sociable person,
• You can respond to the needs of the aging client,
• You are also clear and can indicate what is and is not possible,
• You are interested in trains, museums and history,
• You have experience or an affinity with our target group.

Our volunteers do not incur any costs. We are very happy with a (long-term) investment of time.

Naturally, you have a good command of the Dutch language.
