52 elderly residents with an intellectual disability live in the Sainte Marie residential care center in Apeldoorn. They all have their own studio with bathroom, toilet and kitchenette. Elderly people who receive care from KleinGeluk also live in the building. Pluryn and KleinGeluk have their own floors, but together use spaces such as the restaurant, the chapel, the beautiful courtyard and offices. The emphasis in guidance is on achieving small goals, providing structure, closeness and support.
The aging clients of Sainte Marie in Apeldoorn are looking for a sporty person! Someone who enjoys motivating our elderly to exercise in a sporty, creative way.
Our location is equipped with a duo bike, sports materials, games (billiards table), a large garden and plenty of space to organize sports activities.
Days in consultation. Preferably evenings or weekends.
What are you allowed to do?
Everything you can think of, together with our client(s), as long as you get moving!
- To walk,
- Cycling, with our duo bike,
- billiards,
- playing football,
- Passing the ball, etc., etc.
What are you bringing?
- You are a cheerful, friendly, patient person who is naturally active and you inspire others with your sporting enthusiasm!
- You have experience or affinity with our target group,
- You stand firm, say what you do and do what you say. Clarity is important to build trust.
Our volunteers do not incur any costs, we are very happy with your (long-term) commitment!
Naturally, you have an excellent command of the Dutch language.
