Do you want to help a woman who is struggling with practical matters? For example, with a listening ear, help learning Dutch, finding her way around the city or going out together. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
Extended description
Moviera stands for tackling domestic violence. At various shelters we offer professional assistance and temporary shelter to people who have experienced domestic violence. These are often mothers with children. Some clients need a buddy who can provide extra personal attention and help with practical matters. This is in addition to the professional assistance they receive.
We ask
- You enjoy helping people and you are proficient in Dutch.
- You find it a fun challenge to communicate with people from other languages (where necessary using Google Translate, for example)
- You have strong social skills (reliable, independent and friendly).
- You can set priorities and boundaries.
- You can submit a Certificate of Good Conduct (new application reimbursed by Moviera) and provide a reference.
- You want to endorse Moviera's code of conduct.
