Summary
Neal has an intellectual disability and enjoys going out with a buddyDetailed description
Who is Neal?
Neal is a 29-year-old man with a moderate intellectual disability. His level can be compared to that of a toddler. He lives in a residential group at the residential care park of 's Heeren Loo, where he receives 24-hour care/guidance. He talks in short sentences and likes it when you understand what he is saying. You learn this when you know him a little longer. Neal has an autism spectrum disorder. His supervisors can tell you more about this. He attaches great importance to his own things.
Neal likes many things, for example; going to the cinema, driving in the car, going to the swimming pool, a playground, zoo or other fun outings. He has good mobility and can cycle on a two-wheeler. Neal is someone who always takes some getting used to, but once he gets used to it, he enjoys playing pranks on you.
What is Neal asking?
We are looking for a volunteer for Neal who would like to go out with him once a month, for example.
Someone who wants to do fun things with him. To get to know each other a little better, this will first be in his own environment, but if there is a connection, he will like to go to a zoo, playground, cinema, swimming pool or amusement park (he does not go on roller coasters). . He also really enjoys driving. The frequency, time and activity are in consultation with his supervisors. Together you look at the budget available for an outing. The costs for an outing are for Neal. Travel costs can also be declared.
It would be very nice if the volunteer was calm and clear, dared to contradict him and had a sense of humor.
