Participation in the Youth Council of the Municipality of Apeldoorn

In Apeldoorn, the Youth Council is not a club of young people who are all interested in politics. There are also many young people who participate in the council because they want to learn what is happening in Apeldoorn or because they want to contribute something to make Apeldoorn more beautiful. The Youth Council certainly contributes to your own development.

What you will do:

At the Youth Council we have different types of activities:

- Large activities often with a central theme, with interesting speakers who tell something about that theme. After this, you and other youth council members will talk to these professionals to learn about the theme or to give advice.

- Small activities: With a smaller group from the Youth Council you will continue to discuss a specific topic with a professional.

Participation in the activities is not mandatory. If you register for the Youth Council you will enter the WhatsApp group app, where you will be asked who is present for each activity. Are you busy with school at the time of an activity, do you have something else planned or does the subject not suit you? No problem! Participation is voluntary.

Ultimately, it is important to meet the requested hours from school. If you would like to stay with the Youth Council after this, that is of course possible! A number of masseurs from last year are still on the Youth Council.

We ask you to actively participate during the activities and hope that you enjoy them and learn a lot from them.

Day(s) and time:

The days and times vary. The activities are available all year round, except during school holidays. Mostly the activities are in the evenings and on school days. Most meetings are between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM and take place at the town hall or in the city center.
