Summary
Who are we?In Apeldoorn we have the largest Youth Council in the Netherlands! Are you also curious and do you want to contribute to a more beautiful Apeldoorn? Welcome!
Detailed description
In Apeldoorn, the Youth Council is not a club of young people who are all interested in politics. There are also many young people who participate in the council because they want to learn what is happening in Apeldoorn or because they want to contribute to making Apeldoorn more beautiful. The Youth Council certainly contributes to your own development.
What you will do:
At the Youth Council we have different types of activities:
- Large activities with often a central theme, with interesting speakers who tell something about that theme. After this you will talk to these professionals together with other youth council members to learn about the theme or give advice.
- Small activities: With a smaller group from the Youth Council, you will continue the conversation with a professional about a specific topic.
What we ask of you:
Important to know!
Participation in the activities is not mandatory. If you register for the Youth Council, you will be added to the WhatsApp group app, in which you will be asked who is present at each activity. Are you busy with school at the time of an activity, do you have something else planned or does the subject not suit you? No problem! Participation is voluntary.
Ultimately, it is important to get the requested hours from school. If you like to stay on the Youth Council after this, that is of course possible! A number of masseurs from last year are still on the Youth Council.
We ask you to actively participate in the activities and hope that you enjoy them and learn a lot from them.
Day(s) and time:
The days and times vary. The activities are all year round, except during school holidays. Most of the activities are in the evenings and on school days. Most meetings are between 19:00 and 21:00 and take place at the city hall or in the city centre.
