The Vogelhospitaal is a shelter for wild birds that temporarily need (medical) help. About 4000 birds per year are taken care of, cared for and released back into the wild as soon as possible.

We are looking for a board member, a candidate with some management experience within a company, a foundation or associationDetailed description
As a board member, you help shape the policy of the Bird Hospital and, together with the other board members, you are responsible for managing the Foundation. The Bird Hospital is a small foundation with a regional function. There are 1 administrator and 2 assistant administrators and approximately 60 volunteers work there. The managers mainly work on the daily management and care of the birds. As a board, we also perform various tasks together, such as management of the building, supervision of construction projects, finance and insurance, ICT, marketing, PR, fundraising and HR.
One of our board members will retire at the end of 2023, so we are looking for reinforcement.
Experience
We are looking for candidates with some management experience within a company, foundation or association, preferably with experience in marketing, information or fundraising
Time commitment and regularity
We meet approximately once every 6 weeks for an evening and in addition it is an average of a few hours of work per week, which can be freely arranged from home or the Bird Hospital.
