Participating in society and sports is part of this. We at WAAG want to make this happen. This inspiring story should receive even more attention. WAAG is the only place in the entire region where people with disabilities who do not get their due at another club can exercise to their heart's content. There is a wide choice of sports: swimming (in the Bongerd and Renkum), table tennis at the SHOT association, rowing at the VADA and so on.
About 140 people can forget their limitations every week by relaxing and enjoying the warm water, but also by exercising enthusiastically and having fun.
All members and volunteers come together a few times a year during the outings and parties that we organize. The last time was all about the Wild West.
You can follow free training courses through the Wageningen Volunteer School. They have a spring and fall program and hire professional trainers. The aim is to strengthen volunteer organizations with knowledge and skills.
