For a joint project of Vluchtelingenwerk and Stimenz we are looking for two participation coaches who want to guide refugees.
Vluchtelingenwerk and Stimenz have joined forces for the Cultuurverbinders project. During this project, 6 refugees who have been in the Netherlands for a number of years will gain practical experience within various Stimenz teams for a period of 9 months. During this period, they will be supervised by participation coaches from Vluchtelingenwerk. As a coach, you will reflect on the experiences that the participant gains in the workplace, among other things. You will also work together on a Personal Development Plan (PDP). The goal of the project and for you as a coach is to support participants in taking steps towards sustainable participation.
Job description
As a participation coach you have the following tasks:
- Guiding the client during the Cultural Connectors process; you discuss the progress of the process and any points of attention and have a signaling role in this
- Maintain contact with the relevant authorities and organisations (including Stimenz)
- Participate in team meetings
- Provide up-to-date information on the social map in the municipality
- Administrative registration of activities in the Refugee Monitoring System (VVS)
What are we asking?
- Affinity with refugees (work)
- Patience and empathy
- Being able to work well in a team
- Knowledge of the social map of the municipality is an advantage
- Available at least 1 day per week
