Volunteer distribution point animal food bank Rhenen

During the distribution moment you will speak to our customers and ensure that they receive the items they need to maintain their pet(s). Think of dry food, wet food, snacks, toys, care products, leashes, collars but also anti-worm agents and anti-flea agents. The location manager is your first point of contact and together you will ensure the ins and outs of your location.

What are your responsibilities?  

• Together with the location manager, you are the point of contact for our customers during the biweekly location distribution moment. These can be existing customers who come to pick up items, but also new customers who you register on site and explain our working method;  
• You are the point of contact for donors who drop off items during the location distribution moment. You take a picture of the donation and share it via the location group app;  
• Together with the location manager and other volunteers, you ensure a neat appearance of the distribution point. You report any defects or faults to the location manager;  
• You are responsible for repackaging the feed and ensuring that there is always sufficient repackaged feed in stock;  
• You keep track of who has been there and who has not and what the customers have received;  
• You are available at the distribution times for the municipality of Rhenen. Together with the team you prepare the distribution time, that is why you are available from 16:00. You also clean up after the distribution time together with the team, that is why you are available until 18:30;  
• Sometimes donations may be collected in the region, you organize this with the local team;  
• You are prepared to temporarily work at another distribution point in case of emergency;  
• You attend the biannual general volunteer meetings as much as possible;  
• You are willing to promote the foundation, for example at events.
