Summary
1 on 1 supervision of children with disabilities in swimming lessonsDetailed description
A child with a disability can also often learn to swim. We have already experienced that more than 1000 times!
At our swimming club the volunteers give the children 1 on 1 guidance towards the A diploma. We do this on the basis of small goals that we creatively challenge the children to do. If the child has mastered the required skills, he or she makes the switch to the advanced group.
Content of swimming volunteer function:
- Give the 1 on 1 swimming lesson tailored to the capabilities of the child.
- It concerns 3 swimming lessons of 35 minutes on Saturday morning (from 10:10 to 11:55).
- You work on the basis of a clear step-by-step plan.
- You make creative use of the training materials as support.
We offer:
- guidance by a certified swimming instructor
- a warmly helpful team
- meaningful volunteering
- lunch + evaluation
Our core values:
- empathy
- creativity
- communication
- collaboration
- sense of responsibility
Do you have your A and B diploma and are you 18 years or older (all ages are welcome!), Come and have a look! If you have an affinity with our target group, you are definitely sold!

What we will provide to volunteers
🤝 Extra supportAbout Sportclub Gehandicapten Gooi en Eemland
Sports club Gehandicapten Gooi en Eemland provides diploma swimming and snorkeling and survival lessons for children with a motor and often mental handicap. The ABC lessons take place between 10 and 12 o'clock in swimming pool De Lunet in Naarden. With great pleasure every week a loyal group of volunteers is ready to guide the children. Swimming for the A diploma is largely 1 on 1 and the other lessons in small groups. You understand, many hands make light work, and so we are looking for volunteers! We cordially invite you to come and have a look! You can find more information on our website and also on Facebook.
