Do you have an innate talent for identifying risks and do you have experience in the field of occupational health and safety? Then we are looking for you as our new volunteer occupational health and safety coordinator.
As a volunteer occupational health and safety coordinator, you have a broad coordinating and guiding role aimed at creating a safe and healthy workplace for everyone in the North Holland region. You are directly supervised by the regional manager and you work together with the professional team and volunteers in the North Holland region. Professionally, you work together with the other occupational health and safety coordinators in the country, the expert team and the central prevention employees.
What are you going to do?
- You are the first point of contact for employees and volunteers in the North Holland region in the field of occupational health and safety matters and you maintain contacts with location coordinators
- Based on the national occupational health and safety policy, you create a plan of approach for the region; the challenge here is that the policy is implemented in practice and that lasting awareness is created. You manage action points from the plan of approach and discuss them with the regional coordinator
- Providing information during the preparation of a risk inventory and evaluation (RI&E), for this you use a RI&E tool. You do this, for example, when moving or adapting a building in the region. You report this to the regional coordinator
- You provide solicited and unsolicited advice regarding occupational health and safety conditions and, on behalf of the regional coordinator, you organize inspections and tests within the region in accordance with the occupational health and safety policy
- You perform a Task Risk Analysis concerning specific deployments
Who are you?
- You have good communication skills and you have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
- You have an affinity with volunteer work, are organization-oriented, independent, customer-oriented and have planning skills
- In addition to understanding the purpose of the occupational health and safety policy yourself, you can also convey this to all employees and volunteers within the region
- You already have knowledge and experience with executive regulations and the Working Conditions Act
- Preferably you are available approximately 4 hours per week (flexible deployment) and you live in the North Holland region (Kennemerland or North Holland North)
- Own means of transport, because the North Holland region is quite extensive and you are needed at various locations
What do we offer you?
As a volunteer, you contribute to the work of the Red Cross. That feels good! You get the chance to develop your talents because the Red Cross provides courses and/or training for the purpose of performing the function. There is also the possibility to grow in this or other functions. The Red Cross reimburses travel and expenses incurred and ensures that you are insured during the performance of your work. At the Red Cross, we work according to the basic principles and our code of conduct.
