About Reddingsbrigade Deventer

Rescue Brigade Deventer is an active association with the following objectives:

"Preventing and combating death by drowning in the broadest sense of the word"

We are one of the 180 Rescue Brigades in the Netherlands and we are affiliated with Rescue Brigade Netherlands. At the Rescue Brigade Deventer we train our members in swimming rescue and rescue while sailing. This means that you learn to save yourself, should you hit the water, as well as to save others. In addition, attention is paid to organizing help and caring for victims. Most of our adult members have a current First Aid diploma, often in combination with AED.

Rescue brigade Deventer has about 200 members. An enthusiastic group of instructors trains both youth and senior members. The lessons for the youth members are structured in such a way that you learn more and more together with your peers. You can pass an annual exam step by step. In addition, there are teams that participate in rescue competitions and swimming marathons in addition to regular training. We also regularly organize activities and the youth members go to camp once a year. All this for a friendly contribution.

In addition to training our members, the Deventer Rescue Brigade also monitors various events in and around Deventer. Think of Welle-Village, the Sinterklaasintocht, the Triathlon Holten, Sail Kampen, introduction of Saxion, fireworks shows along the IJssel and other events.
From the age of 16, you can become a lifeguard in Zeeland with your diploma.

We own two lifeboats for monitoring events and our training
