About Radio Club Kennemerland
Radio Club Kennemerland (RCK) is an active independent association with over 50 members and has existed since November 11, 1966 (over 58 years). RCK is an active and social club that brings together radio amateurs from the Kennemerland region and organizes various activities. Radio amateurs are engaged in the hobby of sending and receiving messages from all over the world via voice, Morse code or digital mode on government-regulated frequencies. The Netherlands has approximately 12,500 radio amateurs and worldwide there are approximately 3 million people active in this hobby. Radio Club Kennemerland offers, among other things, the possibility for radio amateurs to practice their hobby on the RCK Club station if this is not possible at home. In addition, weekly activities are organized such as job days, club evenings, lectures and contests. In addition, RCK is part of the Dutch emergency communication network DARES (Dutch Amateur Radio Emergency Service).
