Do you want to support people in the last phase of their life in the Hospice? Would you like to do something for someone else and are you someone who can empathize? then we are looking for you! We have various options for you as a care volunteer in the Hospice or as a cooking volunteer.
Job description:
Your tasks include: Supporting the care, hostess / host, offering a listening ear, guiding the family, taking a walk and having a chat. But also hand care, reading together (possibly from the Bible), preparing and cooking meals in consultation with the guests.
Job requirements:
Having an affinity with grooming / cooking / caring. Before you can start, you will first be offered training. Good command of the Dutch Language.
What do you have to offer the volunteer ?:
- You are entitled to travel allowance (from 5 km one way). - You are insured. - You will receive a present during the month of the Opellam employee. - You will receive the end-of-year gift around Christmas. - You can receive training.
What makes the work worthwhile ?:
You will feel fulfilled because you have been able to do something for your fellow man. Guests will be grateful for your attention, help and care.
