Detailed description
Who are we?
MaatjesApeldoorn mediates and guides contact between volunteers (buddies) and participants in the municipality of Apeldoorn. The buddy projects are organized by both the welfare institution Stimenz and the volunteer organization De Kap, both located in Apeldoorn.
Activities
The buddy is there to support the participant and, if possible, encourage/activate him if necessary.
Buddy and participant are paired together for about a year. A coordinator from Stimenz or De Kap provides guidance where necessary and is the point of contact for both.
We ask
Approx. 2 hours per week. For our various participants, including: people with psychosocial problems, people with a psychiatric background, people with disorders in the autism spectrum, we are looking for buddies with empathy, patience and the necessary flexibility to work with a participant towards a predetermined goal. goal.
We offer
A volunteer contract at MaatjesApeldoorn, intervision meetings where you can meet other buddies, as well as training and other forms of expertise development.
Several times a year we organize a fun meeting for all buddies where we thank you for your efforts.
Time commitment
Count on approximately one half day per week per participant.
