Bicycle assistance and extra help for Outdoor BSO Istia-Wageningen

When: Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Where: Departure from Vrije School de Zwaneridder, Voorburglaan 72, Wageningen, then anywhere outside in the nature reserves.

Job description:

Outdoor BSO de Zwanenest (for children aged 7 and over) is looking for a volunteer for the group, who can also cycle to the outdoor play locations on their own bicycle. Outdoor BSO has an electric group bicycle that can accommodate 7 children. Other children up to a maximum of 4 cycle on their own bicycle. As a volunteer in the group, you cycle at the back wearing a vest and guide the children safely through traffic behind the group bicycle. Once you arrive at the playing location, you support the group with daily activities and guidance.

For example, we play in the Floodplains near the river, or in the woods on the moraines of the Wageningse Berg or Grebbeberg.

Every afternoon we are back on location at 5:30 PM, so that the children can be picked up by their parents between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

Conditions: affinity in working with children. An outdoor person with good rain gear and footwear. Being able to cycle well on your own bicycle. A Certificate of Good Conduct, which we can request for you.

Reimbursement: a volunteer allowance of €5 per hour applies.
