Detailed description
We are looking for a sporty buddy for an independently living client.
Mister lives in Apeldoorn and enjoys various sports, such as badminton, triathlon, cycling, volleyball, swimming and walking. Mister enjoys doing this together with someone, for example once a week or once every 2 weeks.
The time investment is variable but will be approximately 2 to 4 hours/time.
The gentleman has experienced a lot in his life and his preference is for someone who has attention and understanding for his life story. But the most important thing is that there is a click between the gentleman and his future buddy.
This is you
You are open to life. You like to 'just' let things happen and can respond to the needs of the gentleman on the spot.
Without judgement you can empathize with others. You are reliable and you are able to make a nice contact. You know how to activate and enthuse mister in a natural way. If necessary you can also be clear and indicate your boundaries.
Your commitment makes a difference in the lives of our clients.
How do we proceed?
After your registration, there will be an introductory meeting where we would like to hear from you who you are, what your hobbies are and what makes you happy. If we think we can mean something to each other, we will plan a meeting with the gentleman and his permanent supervisor.

IrisZorg is there for young and old and for all layers of the population. We are there for people who have problems in the field of finances, relationships, work or (mental) health. Usually in combination with an addiction and/or (imminent) homelessness. We support clients towards recovery from integral addiction treatment and social counseling. We can use your help as a volunteer with that.
As a volunteer at IrisZorg you make meaningful contact with people with a vulnerable and special background. We see the people behind the addiction, homelessness and other problems.
