I am looking for LANGUAGE MATES for Monday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon and/or Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Detailed description
The New Dutch is a citizens' initiative. The participants are often highly educated and speak English in addition to Turkish or Arabic. They would like to integrate and participate as quickly as possible, but due to the backlogs at the IND, it takes a long time before they are eligible for language lessons, for example. I was approached by a number of AZC residents about this at the end of 2022 and I started working on it. This is how the New Dutch came into being. I am looking for enthusiastic and cheerful volunteers who enjoy talking to these AZC residents, helping them learn the Dutch language (materials are available) and teaching them about Dutch culture. You are cordially invited to come and get acquainted - without any obligation, of course. It may be just one time, you may come every week. I leave that up to you.
