Buurttuin Waterloo
About Buurttuin Waterloo
Have you always dreamed of this?To grow organic vegetables together with like-minded neighbors and eat them (sometimes together)?
To devise and organize healthy and green activities together?
To meet regularly and enjoy the garden, which is full of vegetables, flowers, birds and countless small animals and insects?
The Waterloo community garden is a special initiative that offers space to make this dream come true.
The former football field located behind the Pieter Vermeulen museum has been transformed into a community garden. In the neighborhood garden, a lot of work has been done on a vegetable garden, herb garden and a flower garden. There is even a beach volleyball court. The garden offers a beautiful space to meet each other, organize workshops, eat together, work, or simply enjoy nature on a bench. Do you have any nice ideas of your own? You are very welcome.
We have been given this beautiful place by the municipality of Velsen for 3 to 5 years.
Do you live in Driehuis and are you available for about three hours a week to actively roll up your sleeves with this neighborhood initiative? For only 75 euros you can share in the harvest that we will grow and distribute together.
Be welcome!
