Garden Help Day 2025

On Saturday 12 April, De Kap ,Stichting Present and Apeldoorn Pakt Aan are organising the Garden Help Day. Weeding, tidying up a flowerbed or pruning the hedge. Are you up for it? Then register before 31 March 2025. Would you rather register with several people? We would be very happy to do so! Many hands make light work.

The program

The Garden Help Day lasts from 8:30 to approximately 13:00 in the afternoon. After the chores, the organization will treat you to a delicious lunch. We gather in the morning at the meeting point in Apeldoorn, where the tasks are divided. Then you go out in small groups. It is nice if you can bring your own garden tools and work gloves. Don't worry if you don't have them lying around or can't bring them yourself. The organization will provide extra garden tools and work gloves.

(We meet at the back of the building in the parking lot.)

What kind of jobs can I expect?

For various reasons, people can no longer properly maintain their own garden, for example because they are getting older. They are happy to welcome you with a smile and a cup of coffee to make their garden cozy again. This includes light gardening tasks such as weeding, pruning a hedge or moving or planting a few plants.

Transport

As a volunteer, you are responsible for your own transportation. All jobs take place within Apeldoorn. We would like to know whether you are coming by bike or car, so that other volunteers can possibly ride with you. When dividing the garden jobs among the volunteers, we take into account the possibility of bringing tools.
