About Villa Casimir
At villa Casimir (part of Stepping Stones) we find it important that there is a warm, familiar atmosphere. We create this through, among other things, real personal attention, taking time for each other and by organizing pleasant activities that suit the needs of our residents. But also the fact that family and friends are always welcome and that every resident can furnish his apartment with their own furniture, also contributes to a homely and safe feeling. The residents come to live with us when this is no longer possible at home. In most cases this is caused by dementia, which means that residents often need more and more support in their daily lives.
We try to match this as much as possible on a daily basis by integrating household matters into the day. A round of walking, preparing lunch, setting tables and laundry care. It is precisely by doing these things together that residents have a sense of self-worth and their presence matters.
Sometimes it is not possible to participate, yet we notice that participating from the sidelines is also very pleasant for many people.
