About Thuis and our team
Thuis Wageningen stands for sustainability, sharing and connecting different people in the city. But to do this, it is very important that people know Thuis and know what they can turn to us for. Our Communication team is doing their best for this and now consists of Communications Strategist Sabine, Content Creator Diana and Designer Talitha.
A larger team
There is so much to do, that a team of three specialists is not enough to really bring the beautiful, hopeful message of Thuis to the world. That is why we need your help and creativity! Above all, we think it would be great to have a larger team to celebrate our milestones together with potlucks and treats at local venues. A project we have (almost) completed is the communication around, partly co-organizing and recording of the Wageningen Sustainable Fashion Week to inspire people in the city to buy less new clothes by swapping and repairing together.
Flexible
Your role on our team is entirely up to you, or we could give you specific assignments. Or just a bit of both? How many hours you work and when is negotiable and can change at any time. You can design prints, help Diana create social media content, write texts, make sure everything appears in the online calendar, or just let us know where your interests lie!
Evening events photography
Specifically, we are looking for at least one person who enjoys taking photos and/or videos of events at Thuis every now and then in the evening. It is convenient if you live in Wageningen, because the events sometimes last until late and it is then not nice to have to travel far. It is a plus if you already have experience with photography, but Diana can give you tips and Thuis has a camera you can use.

Once you've signed up, we'll schedule an introductory meeting at Thuis. Over a cup of coffee or tea in the cozy Stadskamer, together we'll see if Thuis suits you, what you like to do and how much time you're available. You run with us for a month as a trial. Then we'll see how you and we like it. Do you feel at home? Then you'll officially become a Thuismaker!
As a Thuismaker you:
- work at a unique location in the heart of the city;
- get to know all our other great Thuismakers;
- will be invited to a nice Thuismaker event twice a year;
- get a volunteer's allowance;
- will have access to a large network in Wageningen;
- contribute to more connection in the city;
- inspire residents to live more sustainably.
