Together with your volunteer colleagues from the Kennemerland Communications Service, you can be deployed for supporting tasks at events and emergency aid activities.Detailed description
We are looking for a volunteer for +/- 4 hours per week.
What are you going to do?
In the Kennemerland district, Red Cross volunteers are on hand for events and emergencies.
The same goes for the Liaison Service. Since 1 January 2018, the Liaison Service has been independent within the Kennemerland district and all liaison services are coordinated and performed by Team Verbindingen Kennemerland. Together with your volunteer colleagues from the Liaison Service Kennemerland, you can be deployed for supporting tasks at events and emergency aid activities.
●You are responsible for the logistics and registration of equipment.
●You organize transportation to and from events if necessary.
●You are responsible for repairing, adjusting, programming and checking
(transmitting) equipment at 1st line level.
●You maintain, check and service walkie-talkies, mobile phones and base stations
ready to use.
●You put radio controls into operation in terms of sound, image and data options.
●You are responsible for setting up and installing mobile antenna systems and
emergency power supplies.
●You are involved in the construction and commissioning of other types
connectivity such as WiFi, MiFi, image and sound systems and possibly
telephone systems.
Who are you?
●You speak Dutch well, are helpful and can work well in a team.
●You are available during major events within the district. These take place
usually takes place on weekends.
●You are technically and logistically skilled at MBO level and have knowledge of radio
communication resources, networks and ICT
●You live in the Kennemerland region and have a driving license B and a car,
so that you can go to any location within our district (from Haarlemmermeer to Uitgeest)
to come.
●You are in good physical condition and not afraid of heights
●You are willing to follow a training and get to know our digital equipment.

After completing any necessary additional training in digital equipment, we hope that you will want to work for the team of Communications Service for a longer period of time. Of course, you will receive travel and expense allowances and you will be insured when you are working for the Red Cross.
