Regional Public Transport Expert
Are you interested in public transport in your region and would you like to increase your knowledge in this area? We are looking for a volunteer OV Expertise for Rover! Within the department you are active in monitoring the interests of travelers at a regional level. You review new plans from carriers and consult with the parties involved. You also represent Rover in the regional consultation platforms (Rocovs), where legal advice is provided on transport plans and change proposals. This may seem like a lot, but it only requires a few hours of commitment per month!
What exactly are you going to do?
- You come up with opportunities for improvement for public transport in your own region
- You keep an eye on what transport companies and local public transport authorities have planned and keep track of the playing field
- You represent Rover in the Rocov with conviction and tact
- You actively contribute to the meetings of the board or the contact persons and help organize activities
What qualities and characteristics do you bring to this?
- Having substantive and current public transport knowledge (also possible with good training)
- Willingness to meet regularly
- Able to read long and sometimes complicated documents such as requests for advice and policy documents
- Well able to express Rover's opinion and vision
