The Pieter Vermeulen Museum is preparing for the move to the former building of the Apostolic Society on Doornberglaan in IJmuiden. Before then, the building must be made more sustainable and the plan is to move in mid-2025. The PVM is looking for volunteers who enjoy supporting the technical service

As humans we have a major impact on nature and the environment. We are increasingly confronted with climate change. At the same time, we see attempts by humans to adapt to this, increasing the tension between humans, nature and the economy. Awareness, triggered by education (knowledge) is of crucial importance here. As a museum, PVM offers a neutral platform in which the major issues we struggle with can be discussed. Different visions, facts, theories and solutions can be viewed and discussed. By learning about this and becoming aware of your own impact on the environment, you can answer the question for yourself: what role can and do I want to play in this? Contributing to this process is central to PVM's vision and mission.
