About Humanitas

The Humanitas association is a national voluntary organization. Our volunteers help people to change their situation on their own. Our help is free and always nearby; we have over eighty departments throughout the country. And we are there for everyone, regardless of age, background or philosophy. One thing is most important to us. That our clients can say: 'Thanks to the contact with a Humanitas volunteer, I can pick up my own life again.'

One of the themes within Humanitas is the theme Home Administration. Here we help people to organize and keep their personal administration and finances in order. We have room for new volunteers in various municipalities in North Limburg. Something for you? Then read on quickly!

About the position

In your role as a Home Administration (TA) volunteer you help people who - for whatever reason - have lost control of their (financial) administration. At Humanitas the starting point is that we help people on their way, so that they can continue independently after about a year. And as a volunteer you contribute to this: you empower people and offer your participant (s) perspective on a healthy financial future.

As a Home Administration volunteer, you naturally work closely with your client, but often also with his / her loved ones. That is why you always have an eye for the personal environment of your client. You will also have contact with, for example, budget management and municipalities, as well as contact persons in the financial department of health insurance companies or housing corporations.

What exactly does the position of Home Administration volunteer look like? You decide that, together with your client! You will receive a training program from Humanitas, but you as a volunteer agree on the precise details of the program and the frequency of the support. Of course your volunteer coordinator is ready to help you on your way. You can also rely on your coordinator during the trajectories. In terms of content, in this role you mainly act as a coach; you listen, give feedback and, together with your client, you look for suitable and especially sustainable solutions.

We ask

You have good communication skills, are reliable and value people for who they are. In fact, you naturally already possess the qualities of a good coach! You are social and always willing to help the other. You have angelic patience, but when you notice resistance from one of your clients, you can name this and turn it into positivity and action. In addition, you have digital skills (basic skills are sufficient!) And you master the Dutch language. If you also master another language, that is a big advantage!
