BOR (= supervised access arrangement) is looking for new volunteers in the Central Limburg region. As a volunteer at BOR you support divorced parents with children from 0 to 12 years old in the implementation of the parental access arrangement. Something for you?

A child has the right to contact with both parents. Although divorced parents are obliged to establish a parental access arrangement, the implementation of this is not always easy in practice. Because relationships can be complicated and painful after a divorce, it can take a while for parents to make good arrangements. As a volunteer at BOR you offer practical help in fulfilling the agreements about the parental access arrangement. For example, you are present at the handover of the children. If necessary, you can also stay there for a while or help pick up and take the children from one parent to another.

The interests of the child come first at BOR. For example, you discuss with parents that they should not argue in front of their child and should not talk negatively about the other parent. The sooner a well-functioning parental access arrangement is established, the faster children can find a place between their divorced parents.

Working as a BOR volunteer is a great challenge. This includes sad, painful, moving and awkward situations, but it is also possible to laugh quite often.

Support your divorced parents in the implementation of the parental access arrangement

· Create a positive and relaxed atmosphere in which the child and parents feel free together

Offer practical help to divorced parents, if desired.

You have life experience

You are a good listener and are interested in others

You are available one half-day per week / 14 days (after school and / or during the weekend)

You are willing to participate in training

A car is easy, but not necessary
