Detailed description
Many children with a disability, or children from a family where someone has a disability, would love to be able to play or stay with a host family every now and then. Just in a nice place where it is cozy and where they receive a little special attention.
And for their parents it means some extra time for themselves or for the other children in the family. Sometimes that can just be the helping hand to be able to take full advantage of it on other days.
Do you, or does your family, have space in your home and heart to receive a child corona-proof? You don't have to do very special activities. Often just participating in your family is special enough.
As a host or guest family you can be of great significance to a child. And it is a special way to be able to do something for someone else as a family.
Working hours: in consultation
Special Conditions: application for a certificate of good conduct (VOG)
Induction method and guidance: Volunteers are carefully linked to a client for a period of time and are individually guided.

About Handjehelpen
As a volunteer at Handjehelpen you help children and adults with disabilities at home.
You can choose from different types of volunteer work. From "simple" volunteer work to help that requires specific knowledge or experience. The help is given one on one. That means that you have your "own" client who visits you in his or her house. Our volunteer work is aimed at social contact for a somewhat longer period. Where necessary, we help, support and guide you.
If you have no experience with people with a disability, then that is no problem. We look at a question that suits you. In addition to individual counseling, there is an extensive training and counseling offer to follow. And a no-obligation conversation with a Handjehelpen coordinator is always possible. We hope to hear from you.
