Summary
As an Animal Ambulance Employee (Driver) you provide first aid to animals, and help transport deceased, injured and/or found (domestic) animals. You also assist the fire brigade, police, municipal services and provide assistance in national calamities.Detailed description
As a volunteer at the animal ambulance you help animals in need and that is very beautiful work. It can be difficult work, you also come into contact with injured or sick animals.
The work is very diverse; you free animals from dire situations, bring them as safely as possible to a shelter such as an animal shelter or veterinarian, check stray animals for chips and return found animals to their owners. You can also be called upon to assist the fire brigade, police and other services. You do this together with colleagues, who all have a big heart for animals. No report or service is the same and you see that as a challenge.
Your flexibility and creativity are so well used. With your calm but decisive way of acting you reassure animal and human.
