Summary
Visiting a permanent residentDetailed description
As a volunteer you will visit a permanent resident in Amaliahof or St. Jan Baptist, a residential care center in Swalmen (at least) once a week. You chat with the resident, drink a cup of coffee or take a walk.
We ask:
You can deal with people with dementia, or you would like to receive additional training. You like to have personal contact and you can give them that extra bit of attention and warmth. In addition, respect, giving trust, patience, independence, a friendly and calm approach are qualities that we expect from every volunteer.

About De Zorggroep
As a volunteer you provide a supplement to the care provided by professionals and family members. You are therefore not concerned with care, nursing or treatment. Volunteers' activities range from guiding clients to daily activities, such as crafts, walking and reading the newspaper, to guiding clients to the hospital and just having a chat. The commitment as a volunteer is very important to be able to give substance to this work. Our clients must then be able to count on you. Our structural volunteers also receive a lot in return via the Voordeelpas from De Zorggroep.
