Summary
We are looking for hostesses / gentlemen for the daily supporting work in the library. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoon, time in consultationDetailed description
As a hostess or host you are the library's calling card.
Together with the permanent staff member and fellow volunteers, you ensure that the visitor feels welcome and comfortable in the Library. A librarian is present on the work floor during all opening hours to answer substantive questions.
• you, together with the permanent employee, ensure that the visitor feels welcome in the Library
• you ensure that visitors to the Library are seen and heard
• you guide visitors through the Library and answer questions or refer you to a colleague
• you signal to the visitor when there are questions or problems and help where necessary
• you ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the Library, in consultation with the permanent employees, and you help with the clearing and retailing of the materials returned
• you do administrative support tasks in consultation with the permanent employee, such as handling the reservation list, taking books

• Reliable (we can count on you)
• Involved in the local community
• You are available for at least one continuous day per week
• Good command of the Dutch language
• Good communicative skills
• Flexible and eager to learn (in a developing organization)
• Good social skills
• Media literate/ computer literate
• Independent and team player
• Open attitude (visible, approachable but not intrusive)
• To be supplemented with specific competencies per location
