All work that must be done to maintain the Arboretum Oostereng.

Detailed description

Activities include:

  • planting trees and shrubs,
  • removing blackberries, nettles and other unwanted plants,
  • the maintenance of the paths,
  • watering young plants, pruning, mowing, sawing.

Maintain and restore the green heritage and character of estate forest with arboretum and avenues. The site has a learning function where students can practice forest and park management, and volunteers and visitors learn about nature, forest and its management.
The site represents a great cultural-historical value, a high natural value and a high biodiversity.
In practice, the implementation of the policy plan is regularly coordinated with Staatsbosbeheer.
