What are you going to do?

Your primary task, together with the current board member, is to ensure that as much attention as possible is paid to people with dementia and knowledge about dealing with dementia in Wageningen. As a result, you, together with the other board members, make an important contribution to a more dementia-friendly society. You coordinate the reopening of the Alzheimer Meeting Point Wageningen, support the volunteers, maintain contacts within the municipality and other welfare organizations in Wageningen. In particular, good contact with Odensehuis Wageningen, Welsaam and the Wageningen dementia-friendly project and the management of our department are important.

What do we have to offer you?

What can you expect from Alzheimer Nederland? You will end up in a warm, professional organization and work together with a group of enthusiastic and committed people. Everyone works with unprecedented enthusiasm for the same goal. We do this from a good basis, because we think it is important that you can enjoy working. We offer information about dementia and various training courses that match your position. We organize networking meetings between departments and with colleagues at the national office and we take your voice in policy seriously. Naturally, we reimburse travel and expenses and practical matters such as insurance are arranged.

The time spent may differ per week. Assume approximately 4 hours per week.

About Alzheimer Netherlands | Veluwe Valley Grebbe

We volunteer for people with a form of dementia and their loved ones. Our advocates and information officers take care of this

awareness regarding dementia in municipalities, (social) organizations and schools. Every month we organize Alzheimer Meeting Points and an Alzheimer Café in our region. These meetings offer practical information, fun and contact with fellow sufferers. Alzheimer Netherlands | Veluwe Vallei Grebbe is active in the municipalities of Ede, Renkum, Renswoude, Rhenen, Wageningen and Veenendaal.
